AARP – A non-profit, nonpartisan membership organization for people age 50 and over, AARP serves as an advocate for its members and offers a wealth of information on benefits, services and special products for seniors. www.aarp.org 

National Institute on Aging –  A great place to find all of the latest federal research and information on aging. www.nia.nih.gov

Senior Citizens’ Resources from USA.gov – This website contains a list of resources and services and information from the U.S. government. A great place to look for information on health, education, consumer protection, travel, laws and taxes that are important to seniors. www.seniors.gov 

National Council on Aging - This organization’s website contains valuable information on aging, health, news and benefits for seniors. www.ncoa.org

American Diabetes Association – Their mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to help improve the lives of those affected by the disease. The site contains definitive information on prevention, nutrition, lifestyle and the latest research. www.diabetes.org/home.jsp

Alzheimer’s Association – Look at this website for a wide variety of resources and information about Alzheimer’s disease including warning signs, facts, diagnosis, treatments and all the latest research. www.alz.org 
 
AAHSA – American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging – This site contains important consumer information on retirement planning, volunteer work and choosing services. www.aahsa.org

ALFA – Assisted Living Federation of America – This website contains information on assisted living communities, research and programs.  It’s an ideal place to learn more about long-term care choices. www.alfa.org

NCAL – The National Center for Assisted Living - The National Center for Assisted Living – This organization is dedicated to serving the needs of the assisted living community through education, networking, advocacy and professional development. www.ncal.org

Department of Health and Human Services – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Dedicated to preventing falls among older adults, this link contains all sorts of information on fall preventions. www.cdc.gov/ncipc/duip/preventadultfalls.htm
