Meet Stacy
Executive Director
The executive director, along with our friendly and professional staff, strives to create positive, stimulating ways for residents to continue living life with meaning and purpose. We are a friendly family where we treat residents like real people with real life stories.
Our community is a great story that includes heartwarming chapters and incredibly unique characters all in a wonderful setting. Here is the executive director’s story:
How long have you worked in the retirement industry?
12 Years
What do you like best about your job?
I love the daily interaction with our residents, family members, and employees and the satisfaction of knowing they are being cared for.
What do you like to do in your free time and why?
I spend time at the beach with my friends and family. I love the calming water and the beautiful scenery.
What’s your favorite movie and why?
Braveheart – I loved William Wallace’s passion and perseverance for fighting for something he believed in – Freedom!
What’s your favorite dish or dessert and why?
I love my mom’s fried chicken because it reminds me of Sunday dinners with my grandparents.
In what ways do your residents inspire you?
They inspire me through hearing their stories of surviving the depression or the holocaust, and other challenges they have overcome.
Do you have any memorable experiences with a particular resident you would like to share?
I once had a resident who was a right-handed artist and suffered a stroke. She was 82 and began painting with her left hand and her paintings were just as beautiful.
How do you honor your residents at your community?
I try my best to provide them with a fun, caring, homelike environment to ensure they are the happiest they can be.
In what ways do your employees inspire you?
I see the daily dedication and service they provide to our residents Even if they have personal problems of their own, they still manage to come to work with a smile.
How do you create a family-like atmosphere at your community?
I am extremely involved with my residents, families and staff members. I am highly visible in the community and treat everyone with respect and dignity. We teach all the employees to display the five core values when interacting with residents and families.
Tell us about an employee who embodies one of our core values – integrity, respect, responsibility, professionalism or teamwork.
