The executive director, along with our friendly and professional staff, strives to create positive, stimulating ways for residents to continue living life with meaning and purpose. We are a friendly family where we treat residents like real people with real life stories.
Our community is a great story that includes heartwarming chapters and incredibly unique characters all in a wonderful setting. Here is the executive director’s story:
How long have you worked in the retirement industry?
Since 1996.
What do you like best about your job?
Ensuring that the “Golden Years” for seniors are their best years ever.
What do you like to do in your free time and why?
I love to cook, explore new recipes and go boating with my family. Cooking brings out my creative side, while boating whisks away all of my cares and stresses in life. Hosting dinner parties with wine-tasting is also one of my favorite activities.
What’s your favorite movie and why?
Shawshank Redemption. It reminds me that no matter what happens to us in this world, we have a choice to either get busy livin’ or get busy dyin’.
What’s your favorite dish or dessert and why?
Fried chicken, it reminds me of my grandmother. I love comfort food.
In what ways do your residents inspire you?
When I hear stories of their experiences and how they have overcome challenging times, it reminds me that no matter what happens, I will always be OK.
How do you honor your residents at your community?
I strive every day to make improvements. It is important to me that residents receive the absolute best of everything. This is one of the main reasons why I am a hands-on Executive Director. I want to ensure outstanding service.
