Meet Dani
Executive Director
The executive director, along with our friendly and professional staff, strives to create positive, stimulating ways for residents to continue living life with meaning and purpose. We are a friendly family where we treat residents like real people with real life stories.
Our community is a great story that includes heartwarming chapters and incredibly unique characters all in a wonderful setting. Here is the executive director’s story:
How long have you worked in the retirement industry?
12 years.
What do you like best about your job?
Feeling like my life’s work has purpose.
What do you like to do in your free time and why?
I like to spend time with my family because they are all getting older and won’t be at home much longer.
If you could meet one person, past or present, who would it be and why?
I would like to have met my Dad’s father. I’ve heard stories that he was an incredible person, and I’d like to meet the person who taught my dad so many of his crazy “Dad’isms”
What’s your favorite movie and why?
“Shenandoah” with Jimmy Stewart, I love the way Jimmy Stewart never lost the faith even after most of his family was killed.
What’s your favorite dish or dessert and why?
Chocolate cake with chocolate icing, and do you really have to ask why?
In what ways do your residents inspire you?
So many have lost loved ones and life’s savings, but they continue to march on.
How do you honor your residents at your community?
We honor birthdays, and have a new resident welcoming party.
Tell us about a resident with a remarkable life story?
We have a resident that did the autopsy on JFK and RFK.
Tell us about a resident whose life changed for the better once they moved to your community.
We have a resident who has survived several heart surgeries, and she said she should not have survived them. She feels the Good Lord dropped her off at Treemont to finish what she had started. She teaches bridge, is a good listener, takes care of my roses for me, and always finds the good in people.
How do you create a family-like atmosphere at your community?
Try to take time to get out on the floor to help when I can, I like them to know that I appreciate all they do for us.
Tell us about an employee who embodies one of our core values – integrity, respect, responsibility, professionalism or teamwork.
We have an employee who has worked for Treemont for the last 14 years, and climbed the ladder to director of housekeeping. She never stops working, and lets her employees know that there is nothing she won’t do for them. She makes my job a little easier, and she makes me happy.
At Treemont Retirement Community, we understand that deciding where to live is a big decision that deserves careful thought. We invite you to visit us, stop by for lunch or be a guest at one of our special events or classes. We look forward to meeting you.
