Welcome! On May 1, 2007, Horizon Bay Senior Communities welcomed 21 Merrill Gardens retirement communities to its family. The communities are located in seven states — Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. All of us at Horizon Bay look forward to serving the residents for many years to come. Since our sole focus is senior living, we take our responsibility to serving our residents seriously. We are committed to maintaining the same high level of services and amenities that you’ve come to expect at the Merrill Gardens communities. Horizon Bay is based in Tampa, Fla., where we manage 70 retirement communities in 15 states. Although we’re a young company, collectively, our senior management team has over 200 years experience in senior living and healthcare. Horizon Care is our foundation, and gives us a shared sense of purpose, direction and opportunity. Ultimately, our goal is to fundamentally improve seniors’ lives so we hold a unique bond with the people that we serve. We believe in the importance of the work we do and that we must hold ourselves to a higher standard.
